Guess I wasn't the only one who was happily enjoying the first sunny day 'round these parts in weeks. It was gorgeous! Gave the driver a thumbs up as I passed. So, Oppo, what is it?

Yeah early 40's Ford for sure. This is a 42, I'm not good enough to tell them apart year to year.

I think it's an early 40's Plymouth business coupe, but I could be wrong.

I have some shots of a 39 (IIRC) Plymouth coupe somewhere. I'll have to dig them up. It's gorgeous. Purple. And the steering wheel on it is awesome. It looks like a bird. I'll find it when I get back home.

Glad to know someone's been having a sunny day :) I'd say 40's Chevy Business Coupe.

Right??? The driver was a little old man. It made me smile. He obviously loves that car. I wish I'd been able to talk to him.

Yeah.. I was wrong though.. that is a Chevy, a late fourties one.. I should stop answering stuff like this when on mobile. Took a better look and realised I was very wrong.. sorry about that.

It's 23:30. My bedtime is few hours away :) We've had few semi sunny days this week but today it has been rainy.

It's ok. Lots of people thought it was a ford at first, too. But thank you for answering!

Sure looks like dual exhausts, either scarce headers on the stove bolt 6 or rocking' a small-block chevy of some vintage.... (That is what it deserves, no?)

wow... nobody can decide if it's a chevy or a ford, which really shows how similar cars were then.

Ha! Right? I thought for sure the answer would be definitive, but it's been interesting to see that it's stumped people.
